Our 7 oz candles burn for 40-50 hours and the 12oz candles burn for 55-70 hours.
What is the melt time of your squeeze wax melts?
Our pouches of squeeze wax can reach a melt time of 250-300 hours.
How do I know what size candle to get?
Have you ever heard of the 8-10 rule for candles? Neither did we until we started making them! For every 8 oz candle, you should get a 10 foot diameter of scent throw. This means, for larger rooms you may need multiple smaller candles or a large and small candle combination in order to fill the space with scent.
Our 7 oz candles are ideal for smaller spaces such as bathrooms, office spaces, and smaller bedrooms, and our 12 oz candles are perfect for larger spaces like kitchens, dining rooms, and living rooms.
How do I maximize my hot throw?
Hot throw is how well a candle releases scent when it is lit. A few ways to maximize how strong it smells:
- Make sure you have the appropriate sized candle for your space (see above.)
- Avoid placing your candle near drafty areas like windows, fans, and vents as the airflow can affect the way the candle burns.
- Burn the candle for the recommended burn time. Sometimes if we are exposed to one scent for too long, our noses lose the sense to pick it up, leading to nose blindness (you just simply stop smelling it.)
- Rotate your candle scents if you are noticing nose blindness.
How do I take care of my candles and squeeze wax?
Candles should be burned up to 4 hours at a time and it is always best practice to trim your wicks to .25 inches prior to use. This helps maintain consistent melt pools and temperatures, extending the candle's life.
It is recommended to massage the squeeze wax pouches for 10 seconds prior to use. You may find out that squishing these pouches will become addicting and help alleviate stress... we know from experience.

If you receive a damaged item, please send a picture to birddogcandlecompany@gmail.com within 48 hours. We will review and issue a refund or a replacement within 72 hours of receiving your email.
We cannot refund or replace items that are already opened or have already been used. If a buyer wishes to return an item, they are responsible for shipping. Please contact us at birddogcandlecompany@gmail.com to initiate the return process.
